I've seen a corset I like, how long will it take to be delivered?

Most corsets and skirts are made to order, so you should expect to wait on average 2 weeks from your order to delivery of your items. Some items take longer than this, and all times are approximate. We keep a small amount of corsets in stock for urgent requirements, please check with us as we hold limited stock of each of our bestsellers, if an item is needed urgently then email us and we can advise whether we have the correct size in stock for immediate dispatch. If you order an in stock item before 12pm we can have it to you by registered post the next day. Jane Woolrich items take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery, Axfords take up to 2 weeks, Vollers take up to 2 weeks, VersAtellier take up to 6 week, others take up to 3 weeks. Delivery times are for Ireland only, other destinations may vary.

What are your delivery costs? Could you deliver to a different address than the registered cardholder address?

Delivery fee depends upon where you live. In Ireland it is approx €10. We can deliver to an alternative address if you are buying a gift or would rather your purchases be delivered to a work address for convenience. All parcels are sent by signed for delivery. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels sent to non-cardholder addresses.

Do you ship abroad?

Yes we do. We are based in County Mayo, Ireland and all parcels can be shipped worldwide. We reserve the right to cancel orders to certain destinations with previous incidents of fraud. There is a small postage charge to cover the extra postage fee to the rest of the world, no matter what the order value/size is. Please note that all prices on our website are listed in Euro.

Can I add/remove an item from my order, when I've already paid?

Items can be added to your order at any time, but if there is more than 24 hours between your orders it is likely that your orders won't be ready at the same time. If you would like all items shipped together we will hold on to the rest of your order until all items are ready to ship, which could result in delays. Please inform us if you would like all orders shipped together or separately. We cannot remove items from your order after the first 24 hours, please inform us within 24 hours of placing your order if you need to remove an item from your order. After this time, a 25% restocking fee will be charged for all made to order corsets and any other items.

How do I pay for my order?

The easiest way to pay for your order is to use our online card processing. Our site encryption means that any data, personal information and card details you enter in order to place an order is kept totally secure throughout the payment process. We do not have access to, or handle your card details at any point, so you can order in a safe and secure manner. If you do not wish to use your card online, then we can also accept payments by cheque or postal order. Please email us with your order if paying by this method. Postal order and cheque payments will be processed once your payment has cleared with us.

What is your returns policy?

All of our corsets are made to each customer's individual order. Consequently, and also as a result of the personal nature of the garment, this transaction is exempt from the provisions of the Distance Selling Regulations and cannot be returned. Should this cause you any concern please call us immediately on 096 30538 and we would be happy to put your mind at rest. Although under no obligation to do so, we will accept order cancellations provided that notification is received by us within 24 hours of the order confirmation email being dispatched. After 24 hours results in a restocking fee of 25%. This does not affect statutory rights. All of our corsets are hand made and checked before dispatch to ensure the highest quality finish on every item, but if you feel that it is faulty then we are happy to exchange it. We will accept returns on faulty corsets within 7 days of receipt. If you need help choosing a corset size or style then don't hesitate to contact us, we are more than happy to answer any quests you may have, no matter what they are. Some customers may fall between sizes, so please provide us with all relevant measurements before purchasing and we will find out the size you require.

Can I return a corset?

If you would like to return a corset you must contact us at Corsets Ireland first to make arrangements before sending anything back. If it is sent back without approval then the item will be refused. Due to the nature of the items sold we are not under any obligation to accept returns due to hygene reasons. If we accept the item as a return, a case by case decision will be made, the item will be thoroughly checked to make sure it has not been worn. Returns are only accepted on corsets in near-mint condition, ie. only worn over a thin garment to check that it is the correct sizing. Items must be returned in there original packaging. Returns will be then subject to a restocking fee. (See returns Policy)

I have seen a corset I like, but require a different colour/material; can you make this for me?

Yes we can. If you would like one of our range of corsets made in a different colour or material than the one it is shown in then please get in touch and let us know your requirements. This will be classified as a made to order corset and will incur a higher charge. This service is available for all our corsets.

So if I'd like halter neck straps or frills adding to my corset, you can do this?

Yes we can. Please inquire first to find out if the corset can be made with added halter neck straps (subject to a small fee). If you would like a frill adding or taking away from a corset then this can also be provided for you.

Do you offer a made to measure corset service?

Yes we do. For example Jane Woolrich corsets are made to measure which to give a supreme fit are made to the exact measurements you provide. Different styles and shapes of corsets fit different figures better than others, so this service means that you can have any corset made to fit your exact shape.

What is a modesty panel?

It is a strip of fabric that is placed in the back. It covers your skin and also protects you from rope burn when tight lacing.

I have a belly and in some corsets, it just sticks out! Do you offer anything to control this?

An underbusk which is a very rigid piece of steel can be placed directly behind the main busk. It will flatten that area nicely. Also a properly patterned and double boned corset will prevent that from happening too.

When can I expect my order?

Manufacturing can take up to 6 weeks from date of payment however the average is 2 weeks. We are not responsible for any delays caused by customs in your country. Once the corset has been made postage in Ireland generally takes 1-3 days, EU 2-4 days, overseas 5-10 days. In some cases we can accommodate a rush order. Please when ordering allow plenty of time if you are planning to wear it for a specific day.

I've never worn a proper corset before. How do I select the correct size?

We would normally recommend you order between 2" and 4" smaller than your natural waist size. If you would like advice please email us with your measurements and we can advise you as to the best size to select.

What is tight lacing?

It is when the waist reduction is 4" or more and worn daily for 8+ hours.

I want to tight lace, do you recommend an underbust or overbust?

For tight lacing and waist training we recommend an underbust corset. It's far more comfortable and you can get greater reduction with an underbust. Also for daily wear, you want to wear the corset over a thin liner so that the corset doesn't actually touch your bare skin. Perspiration can weaken and damage the fibre over time. ALWAYS get a doctors advice before wearing a corset. We do not recommend that you wear a corset if you are pregnant or have back problems unless advised by your doctor.

Why does the pricing change?

Prices change as the currency exchange market changes. Our suppliers are from all over the world and as the currency values change we have to change the price accordingly.

Comparing prices with other suppliers

When comparing our prices with other suppliers don't forget to add in their delivery charges on top of the price advertised. For example Vollers have been known to charge up to £15 for delivery to Ireland, so add that to the selling price of say the leather corset at £455 and then convert it into Euro, don't forget to include card charges and that comes out to about €575 and our price is €550 including postage.
